INADVERTENT INSIGHT is a forum that showcases individual insights and wisdom often gained serendipitously. But most of the time, it is gained through a long struggle with forces that are overwhelming. This forum will allow individuals to share their knowledge and provide a forum for them to exert energy for a greater good. Contributors to this column can be someone who have overcome serious personal illnesses or misfortunes. Or just as readily, they might have solved difficult problems in community organizing, provided for the common good in a neighborhood. There are for examples, valiant groups such as Physicians Without Borders or Greenpeace Advocates. Our planets is the only planet we have and it can only tolerate so much pollution or abuse. And so, whether one's insight is how to cope with nagging depressions or to solve the problem of hunger in Third World Countries, we can all benefit from the actions, lessons, and the practical and theoretical knowledge gained by people who have made these contributions. While we are seeking real-life stories and testimonials, we are also seeking literary works that advance our mission. We are looking for poems, short fiction, vignettes, and any form of writing that impart the same insights and wisdom.
